For the Paris Motor Show 2012 Volvo launched two new models, The All-New Volvo V40 Cross Country and All-New Volvo V40 R-Design.

I worked on the car scenes, climbing scenes and a little on the opening sequence.
As usual we used Vray for Maya for rendering the cars. It was a bit tricky setting up the lighting for the packshot since it was night. We wanted an studio feeling to the shot but it still had to be in the environment. I ended up using mainly soft area lights.
The environments was mostly made in Modo. I tried out Modos sculpting tools and multiresulotion.
